Sonco Gaming Inc., founded in 1995, is a company engaged in the ownership, operation, and development of gaming properties. It has and continues to be active in joint ventures with major multi-national gaming/entertainment companies, Aboriginal groups and First Nations, and other interested parties.

Sonco was the developer of and project manager for the very successful Great Blue Heron Charity Casino, which opened in 1996 on the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation in Ontario. For this project, Sonco was responsible for negotiating the “partnering” with the relevant First Nation; overseeing the hiring and managing of architects, designers and construction managers; obtaining zoning and relevant permits; negotiating leases; and setting up the property management infrastructure.

Sonco was the project manager and developer for the Grey Eagle Casino which opened on December 19, 2007 and is located on the Tsuu T’ina Nation, a First Nation located adjacent to the City of Calgary. An affiliated company operates the Grey Eagle Casino on behalf of Tsuu T’ina.

Sonco’s principal, Michael Novac, who is a seasoned professional with many years experience in all sectors of property management and development, is a Director and Sonco is a partner of the organization which operates the Casino.

On May 8, 2008, Sonco was selected as the Successful Proponent for the New Brunswick Destination Casino Project.

Sonco, along with its partners, is developing, constructing, financing, and will operate a first-class gaming and entertainment complex, the first of its kind in New Brunswick. The complex will consist of a casino with 600 slot machines, 20 tables, 8 poker tables, high limit room, food & beverage facilities; a 128-room hotel, and the Palladium, a multi-purpose entertainment venue/convention facility. Casino New Nouveau-Brunswick , located at Magnetic Hill (Moncton), is slated to open in Spring 2010.
